What is the difference between SICE and Zertify?

SICE (Swiss Institute of Certification and Education) is the issuer: SICE reviews the assessments, issues the certificates and runs the public verification register. Zertify is the online platform operated by G6 Agency AG and the digital path there: you choose the standard, complete the self-assessment, pay and receive the certificate issued by SICE. The certificates are not accredited.

Is the certificate accredited?

No, the certificate is not accredited. It is based on a self-assessment and is suited to marketing, customer communication and internal management. It is not suited to public tenders that require an accredited certification.

You choose a standard and answer 30 yes/no questions about your business. Scoring runs automatically on our servers. You see right away whether you passed.

How long does the assessment take?

Usually 20 to 30 minutes. Your answers are saved as you go, so you can pause at any time and continue later.

The pass mark depends on the standard. You find it on the page of each standard and in the assessment.

What happens if I do not pass?

You see which topics still have gaps. You can close them and start the assessment again. You only pay after you pass.

Do I have to upload evidence?

No. The certificate is based on your own statements. Answer the questions truthfully, because you confirm that your information is correct.

How long is the certificate valid?

Three years from the issue date. After that you can renew it with a new assessment at the reduced renewal price.

How can third parties check the certificate?

Every certificate has a unique number and a QR code. On the verification page, third parties see whether the certificate is valid, expired or revoked.

Can I use the certificate for public tenders?

No. Public tenders usually require an accredited certification. Our certificate is not accredited and is not meant for that purpose.

When do I receive the certificate?

After you pass, usually within 4 hours of payment, at the latest after 24 hours. You then find it in your account area and by email.

Only after you pass the assessment. You can take the assessment itself without paying.

Payment runs through Stripe. You see the available payment methods at checkout. You can pay in CHF or EUR.

Yes. With two standards you get 20 percent off the certificates, from three standards 30 percent.

Not to get started. For certificates, invoices and renewals in your account area, you sign in with your email address. You receive a sign-in link for that.
