ISO 37001:2025 Anti-Bribery Management

ISO 37001 online: certificate after a self-assessment

You answer 38 yes/no questions about your anti-bribery management system. If you pass and pay, the certificate reaches you within 4 hours, with a QR code that leads to a public verification page. No auditor visits your premises.

01: Process

How does ISO 37001 online certification work?

The whole route runs in the browser. You do not need an account to buy, and you do not book an auditor.

  1. Take the self-assessment

Answer 38 yes/no questions about the anti-bribery system your company runs today. The assessment is free and needs no registration.

  2. Meet the pass rule

All 14 must-meet questions need a yes, and at least 16 of the other 24 questions need a yes. If you do not reach both, no certificate is issued.

  3. Pay and wait for the review

Once you have passed, you pay the first-year fee online. SICE reviews your assessment before the certificate is issued.

  4. Receive and share the certificate

Within 4 hours after passing and payment, you get the certificate as a PDF with a certificate number and a QR code. Anyone can enter the number or scan the code on the public verification page.

Each year a short online re-audit confirms that the certificate still holds.

02: Preparation

What does a company need to prepare?

The questions refer to a system you already operate, so preparation means gathering what exists. Have these six areas to hand before you start.

Bribery risk assessment
A written view of where bribery could arise in your business: sales agents, public tenders, customs clearance, gifts and hospitality. Show when it was last updated.
Anti-bribery policy
A policy approved by management and communicated to staff and business associates.
Compliance function
A named person or team with direct access to leadership.
Due diligence
Checks on transactions, business associates and personnel, scaled to the risk. Keep records, for example for agents and distributors.
Financial and non-financial controls
Dual signature on payments is a financial control. Approval rules for gifts and procurement steps are non-financial ones.
Reporting channel
A way for employees to raise concerns, with protection against retaliation.

The 14 must-meet questions are core questions of the assessment. They do not cover every requirement of the standard, and a pass does not replace running the system day to day.

03: Assessment

What do you need to pass the assessment?

Answer each question for the company as it operates now, not as it is planned. SICE reviews every assessment, and every certificate can be checked publicly.

04: Comparison

Online certification compared with an on-site audit

The classic route with an on-site audit by a certification body suits some buyers and some tenders. For many small companies, the online route removes the scheduling and most of the fees.

05: Zertify

How Zertify fits in

Zertify issues the certificate under licence from SICE, the Swiss Institute of Certification and Education. The requirements themselves are explained on the ISO 37001 page, and the full price list is on the pricing page.

The fee is an automatic yearly subscription. You cancel at any time in your customer account, effective at the end of the current year, and the certificate then ends with the paid year. The certificate is valid for 3 years, with the online re-audit each year.

If you certify further standards, you get 20% off for two standards and 30% off for three or more, also on the yearly fee. Prices include 8.1% Swiss VAT for customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

06: Use

Where can you use the certificate?

Purchasing departments at groups with a code of conduct send supplier questionnaires that ask how you handle bribery. Public tenders and customer audits raise the same question. The PDF answers it with a certificate number and a QR code the buyer can scan.

The certificate is relevant for companies with public sector customers, exporters, construction and engineering firms, healthcare and medical technology, and commodity trading and logistics. It shows that you have taken reasonable organisational precautions against bribery. It does not claim that bribery cannot occur.
