ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management
ISO 9001 in Lausanne: certified online, without an audit visit
Companies in Lausanne can obtain an ISO 9001 certificate entirely online. You complete a self-assessment with 30 yes/no questions. After you pass and pay, the certificate follows within 4 hours. It costs 599 CHF in the first year, then 399 CHF per year including the yearly online re-audit.
01: Who needs it
Who needs ISO 9001 in Lausanne
Lausanne is a business location on Lake Geneva with a broad mix of trades, manufacturing, services, technology and public institutions. ISO 9001 is not tied to a sector, so it fits all of them.
Zertify is an online service. We have no office in Lausanne and we do not work with local auditors. The process is the same for every company, wherever it is based.
The reason to certify is usually practical. A customer asks for proof of a quality system. A tender requires a certificate. A supplier questionnaire has a line for it. Or you want your own processes written down and under control.
- Manufacturing and workshops
- Companies of any size that need consistent product quality and traceable processes.
- Trades and craft businesses
- Firms that work for larger clients and are asked to show how they control their work.
- Service companies and consulting
- Businesses whose quality depends on clear procedures, competent people and documented results.
- IT and software companies
- Teams that deliver to business customers and want a recognised quality framework.
- Public institutions
- Organisations that want defined processes and measurable objectives.
02: The standard
What ISO 9001:2015 asks of your business
ISO 9001:2015 is the leading standard for quality management systems. It helps an organisation deliver products and services that meet customer requirements and regulatory obligations. It rests on seven principles: customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making and relationship management.
In practice, the requirements follow the structure of the standard:
Understand your context
Document the context of your organisation and the needs of interested parties (clause 4).
Set policy and objectives
Management defines a quality policy and measurable objectives (clauses 5 and 6).
Assess risks and opportunities
Plan systematically for what could go wrong and what could improve (clause 6).
Provide resources and competence
Make sure people, knowledge and infrastructure fit the work (clause 7).
Define and control processes
Plan and control how products and services are delivered (clause 8).
Monitor and improve
Measure performance and improve continually (clauses 9 and 10).
03: Two routes
On-site audit or online route: what changes for a Lausanne company
The classic route means an on-site audit by a certification body. Auditors visit your premises, and you plan staff time around the visit. The online route replaces the visit with a structured self-assessment, reviewed before the certificate is issued.
| Aspect | Classic route | Zertify online route |
|---|---|---|
| Format | On-site audit by a certification body | Online self-assessment with 30 yes/no questions |
| Travel and visits | Auditors visit your site | None, everything runs online |
| Time to certificate | Indicatively several weeks to a few months | Within 4 hours after passing and payment |
| Cost | Indicatively several thousand francs for the first cycle | 599 CHF in the first year, then 399 CHF per year including the online re-audit |
| Yearly check | Periodic audits by the certification body | Short online re-audit |
| Verification | Depends on the body | Public, by certificate number and QR code |
The cost and duration figures for the classic route are indicative ranges. Actual offers differ by provider, company size and scope. Which route suits you depends on who asks for the certificate and what they expect.
04: How Zertify fits
How Zertify fits for companies in Lausanne
Zertify issues ISO certificates based on an online self-assessment. The certificate is issued by G6 Agency AG under licence from SICE, the Swiss Institute of Certification and Education. SICE reviews every assessment before the certificate is issued.
For a company in Lausanne this means no travel, no site visit and no appointment to coordinate. You answer the questions when it suits you, from your desk. Every certificate can be verified publicly by number and QR code, so your customers can check it themselves.
The certificate is confirmed every year by a short online re-audit, which is included in the yearly fee. It is valid for 3 years.

06: Cost
What ISO 9001 costs and how billing works
Zertify costs 599 CHF (599 EUR) in the first year, then 399 CHF (399 EUR) per year including the yearly online re-audit. Prices for customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein include 8.1% Swiss VAT.
Billing is an automatic yearly subscription. You can cancel at any time in your customer account, effective at the end of the current year. If you cancel, the certificate ends with the paid year.
If you need more than one standard, a multi-standard discount applies: 20% for 2 standards and 30% for 3 or more. It also applies to the yearly fee.
